First Ever Gingerbread SLI PC

Henrik Olsson decided to spice things up this holiday season. Instead of following the usual family tradition of baking a gingerbread house, Henrik used his gingerbread skills to bake the first ever gingerbread SLI system!

Exclusive Interview with Henrik:

Tell us a little about yourself:

My name is Henrik Olsson and I live in the northern part of Sweden, in a town called Umea. At the moment, I study my final year at business school in a Masters program.

What inspired you to create the a PC out of Gingerbread?

At Christmas, a common family tradition in Sweden is baking houses out of gingerbread. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the whole Christmas baking thing, but since my girlfriend loves it, I usually end up doing it anyway. This year, a new idea popped up in my head when we were baking the annual gingerbread house. Why not do something fun and different? Why not build a gingerbread computer? … and that's what I did!

How long did it take you?

Almost a life time, at least sometimes it felt like it. :)

I don't know how many hours it took me, but I spent most of my spare time, for about a week, making the computer.

Want to learn how Henrik did it? Henrik shares his secrets in this article.

Will you eat it?

He he, actually, when building the gingerbread computer, for practical reasons, I decided to use ordinary glue. In other words, I don't think eating it would be a wise thing to do. Even if the gingerbread computer were eatable I don't think I could eat it, considering how many hours I spent building it.

Are you an NVIDIA fan?

I've always liked NVIDIA's graphic cards, especially the latest generation. The GeForce-series is well known for great performance, reliability and drivers.

Would you do it again?

This is my first and probably last time creating a gingerbread computer, but you never know. ;)

A special thanks to Henrik for making NVIDIA a part of this Gingerbread PC and sharing his time with us for this interview.

Henrik, be sure to check your stocking this year for something from NVIDIA!
